Toxic Toast

Here’s an original number I wrote. It should be sung to the beat of “Toxic Toast” by the Mighty Mighty Bosstones. It also helps to envision yourself as Spiderman taking a vacation to the X-men mansion in a crossover comic.

1407 Gray Malkin Lane
X-Mansion Mutant Estate
Way way back in the date
Xavier picked it up that way
Just outside of Boston’s core
Three hard rights then straight ahead
If someone thought to lock the door
Use the cave exit instead
Magneto’s always up to something, one things always understood
If nothing happens in a minute, wait another something should
Avoid Cyclops, Abuse your powers, raising hell with reckless style.
And sure our time was poorly spent, but the X-men still makes me smile
Looking back now, not sure how we made it through, not all of us but most.
Morph haunts me, and Jean Grey
I remember, I remember, I remember the X-Men
This stuffs one hundred-thirty proof
Rogue threw Jubilee off the roof
The whole dam place just wasn’t stable
Logan slashed up the coffee table.
Gambits here, the party’s reeling
Nightcrawler’s stuck in the ceiling
Can’t make a call and man its cold, Iceman’s got me in a stranglehold
“The X-Men”, Chaz coined the phrase
Beast thought about it for a while.
The danger room every day
But The X-men still makes me smile.
Looking back now, not sure how We made it through, not all of us but most.
Morph haunts me, I miss Phoenix
I remember, I remember, I remember The X-Men

Toxic Toast is an awesome, awesome song. But this is just stupid.
