  1. Furyof5 says:

SH: Never said it, just stated something about him flying.

Although, isnt it theoretically possible for Hulk to exert so much force from flapping his arms/limbs that the force reaches a planet or near by surface(meteor etc) and use it to propel himself?

  2. bob says:

    @Mike:

    Agreed.

  3. ShadowHunter says:

Mike : Do you freaking know what you are talking about!? SUPERGIRL?! She’s equal to Superman in every domain. She’s just rushing and not using her brain when there is a fight (almost like Thor). If Superman can beat Thor, she certainly can. And one punch can take out Superman? Let me say something. Before Hulk gets angry, Superman can punch him right in the space without any trouble.

  4. ShadowHunter says:

The Captain : Have you seen Captain Marvel moving Mageddon? Or holding a mini black hole? Or surviving inside RAO? Or holding a growing solar system? Or slowing down the Eternity? Or altering time and reality by punching Kal-L? Etc..

    I don’t think so.

  5. PeterJRaia says:

Thor doesn’t show much of anything in the way of skill, though. He swears his oath and threats, and wades in, swinging away. Every time. Never displays any ability to think on his feet, innovate new tactics, adapt to creative opponents, or adapt & overcome in general. Put simply, instead of “1000s of years of experience” in fighting, never changing his combat m.o., Thor can be said to have just a couple years of experience, albeit repeated 1000 times. Or put more simply, go through kindergarden however many times with different teachers but at the same level, and it doesn’t just make you a PhD due to “experience”. Superman by comparison very often thinks his way past and through troublesome enemies, always innovates new solutions, and uses his brain almost as often as his muscles. Plus having extensive training by no less than Wonder Woman (who HAS training for millenia, presumably in Greek pankration and all manner of weapons) and Batman (baddest ass on Earth whose reputation precedes him). In terms of skills and ability to think in a fight (drastically underappreciated, in both “reality” AND cimics), I see Superman as having a very clear edge.

  6. Darryl says:

    Alberto & Shadowhunter @

1st Shadowhunter I would state there more feat for Superman because he appears many more comics then Thor has. Plus he is put in more situation where his power don’t have to be explain. I remember see comics from early 70 where he is moving planet such as earth with no logic except his very strong when we both know that defy many laws of physics. This why feat alone don’t prove Superman more powerful then Thor. I also like Batman actual his my favorite character in comics. No I never thought he was more powerful then Superman but I do feel if press he his one of the few DC hero who could come up with a plan to defeat Superman.

    Aberto@
I try use a balance approach then come with who I think would be number one.

    You claim that Superman is:

1.-Stronger- (Very debatable Thor feat strenght have been very powerful. Really there no true way saying Superman feat would make him head and shoulders above Thor.)Like when you talk about about Superman moving planets the more & more I study this feat it appear more psionic in nature due to the laws of physics no amount of strenght can explain these kinds of feats.

2.-His body is more Resistent (debatable) I believe superman has slight advantage when comes to physical resistant but Thor large advantage when come to magic, So I go with Thor in this one.

3.-He is Smarter(debatable) Superman has advantage but not as great as might think. Superman has knowledge of Krypton science and photograpic memory but Thor knowledge in Asgardian magic & has shown ability Learn medical science when he was Dr. Don Blake was consider very good Doctor.

4.-He is Faster(debatable) as mention before it has been state Thor can in battle move at the speed of light in comic, Loki has state this before and Thor has fought such as being as Surfer/Galatus/Other world demon that can move that those speed and speeds. At best a even

5-Has some degree of magical defence at high levels not as god as Thor’s (disagree)I totally disagree with you on this. Superman don’t really have any magic defense one of his major weakness I do understand that he has able to overcome powerful magic user but more thru other abilities.

6.-He has better combat speed- (debatable) most likely even. You argument 4 & 6 are tie together you can see my state to number 4 it would apply to this one too.

7.-He can generate as much energy-(Thor wins this easily (not debatable)there are many example of Thor creating energy at will and this god blast shown more powerful then your 1 time example superman creating enegry in black hole situation.

8.-He has better flight maneurability (this debatable) this goes back to movement thing in question 4 & 6. Thor has fought likes Surtur & Silver Silver did alot of flight maneurablility came in to play.

9.-He hits harder (Don’t agree) at best even but understand because you believe Superman is strong is why you are saying this.

10.-He can use all of his powers at the same time (debatable)advantage Thor because does more often then superman. Thor can be controlling weather fly plus hit enemy with energy blast all at same time.

  7. PeterJRaia says:

Darryl, honestly, not very debatable that Thor is anywhere close to Superman’s strength. There was a series called the Marvel Universe back in the 80s (reprinted since then, but I own the originals) where all the major characters’s powers were enumerated. Thor’s strength was listed at a lifting strength of approximately 100 tons. I know he’s displayed feats way beyond that; check my earlier posts on plot devices. For those who maintain that’s only Thor’s “starting” level of strength, ok…his belt is said to double his stregth, and his magical gauntlets supposedly give him the ability to wield his hammer. And you know what, let’s even multiply that level of strength by ANOTHER factor of ten. He STILL doesn’t remotely approach Superman’s strength. Likewise the Marvel Comics rpg’s thsat have been published over the years likewise rate Thor’s strength as such (the games WERE published under Marvel’s guidance and authority and even illustrated by their artists). Again, that’s Marvel Universe (about as “canon” as it’s possible to be by definition) talking, no my opinion.

  8. Hulk has a losing record against Submariner.

I think i may have a few scans of interest in favor of Namor ;)

Here’s when he first defeated Hulk all-out.

    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4…rs003173hf.jpg

Brains, not just brawn. He can absorb millions of volts of electricity …..and then discharge them on the Hulk

    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4…rfeat235rn.gif

This is just a little strength feat i liked and saw on another board, of when Namor visits Magneto’s island. And is trapped. He slams his fists and the entire Island shakes

    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4…rfeat255ii.gif

    Namor fighting Savage Hulk:

    1. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4…lk118187ji.jpg

    2. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4…lk118195ly.jpg

    3. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4…lk118200el.jpg

    4. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4…lk118211kg.jpg

Namor creating a tidal wave that knocks out a mind controlled savage hulk and a small island:

    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4…rfeat265gs.gif

Namor vs. Banner – the insult game :p

    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4…xtvp0169at.jpg

So either way, even though i don’t know if Namor would win, it might be a stalemate. But i wouldn’t rush into saying Hulk wins with ease.

    ~wickerman~

  9. ShadowHunter says:

Darryl : Okay… Thor has a feat above Mageddon? No.
Smarter? We mean that Superman always have a plan. Thor just run into a fight without thinking most of the time. Faster? Superman is able to phase. He will always be above Thor in term of speed, no matter what. For the magic resistance, Superman isn’t weak about magic. It’s all HIS will. The writters said it. But I think Thor has the advantage (even if it’s not usefull since Superman isn’t a magical being…). By God Blast you mean Odin Force?
Superman is always flying. He’s not running anymore. When it comes to flying, Superman is the man. And he’s freaking fast. The Vega feat is incredible.
Hits harder? Totally. Superman was able to destroy planets just with the shockwave of his punches. He punched Lobo into orbit, etc.

Superman was able to use his strenght, his heat vision, is breath, is flight and his speed at the same time during the fight against Imperiex Prime.

Summoning a storm won’t help in a fight between Superman and Thor.

  10. Darryl, I it’s not fair to say because of laws of physics or other that Superman feats being ridiculous requires his feats be disqualified and then you can make up whatyou believe is reasonable and then use your chosen feats in compare to Thors to even state what is debatable or not. The essence of debate is to present facts. This is science fiction and the writers provide the facts. Uniquely, the only augmentation in the analysis should be to take in account that DC Universe and Marvel Universe feats may be slightly varied in regard to power starting levels; so, the fair thing to do is to use the cross-overs (not to count the battles, but to notice how closely the power levels are displayed)

Thor and Superman met and it is clear Superman is stronger, but based on the comic, Thor wasn’t much at a disadvantage as the both were shown closely in each other’s league.

  11. Ok you want another Speed feat of Superman in space? thats not in Death of New Gods. Lex 2000 Special, Superman flies from a moon just off Saturn to Earth in under 4 minutes light would take 19 minutes, it even states that in the page here.

  12. I know I made this thread ok I’m going to put up my argument here so you guys know why I am debating this. See in space Superman has a speed advantage, where you guys show Flash beating superman in races even there with Barry Allen you have to remember thats on earth. The Speed Force actully reduces the damage caused when the Flash runs at light on Earth while Superman isn’t connected to the Speed force if he moved that fast on earth he would split the earth in two. Also here is my argument and a pic.

In Death of New Gods it took Superman less than 4 minutes to reach metropolis on earth from vega, Vega is located 25.3 light years away from earth. If it took Superman 10 hours to reach earth that would make Superman 1.752 billion times light speed

  13. 1.752 billion times the speed of light is moving at .000103881 of a second. Thor can’t react that fast. no one can but Flash

  14. Furyof5 says:

Ernest: Did you see the scan I posted of Flash and calculations of how fast he moved to rescue everyone from an exploding town?

  15. Rick says:

Oh my God, if I hear about that fucking Mageddon feat again I swear I’m going to smash my computer. Do you have any other feats to bring up? Or are you just going to harp on that over and over for another 5,000 comments. Yes, great, and Thor has contained and absorbed a galaxy-busting blast. (not HALF a galaxy busting blast, idiot). He has defeated Galactus with his godblast. He has defeated the Silver Surfer, elder gods, Surtur, and numerous other cosmic opponents. He over powered Hulk AND Namor at once. He overpowered Namor UNDERWATER. He can suck Superman’s soul out. He can blast him with Magic. He can teleport himself or an opponent(which, last I checked is INSTANTEOUS, which is faster than 1.752 billion times the speed of light last time I checked, Ernest Manigo. He has survived blasts from celestials. He has knocked down a celestial. He has cracked a full powered Galactus’s helmet. So shut the fuck up about that fucking Mageddon feat already. Everyone gets it already. Are you seriously mentally handicapped? I’m also waiting for the scan of the last time Superman speed blitzed someone before they could react and defeated them that way (with a date). Or you can just keep ignoring me and mention the Mageddon feat again.

  16. Rick says:

Oh, you want to know how Thor can kill flash or superman? How about just travel back in time and kill their parents. He can do that, obviously you wouldn’t know that since neither of you reads Marvel comics. Also, it doesn’t matter how fast you move if Thor decides to suck out your soul.

  17. ShadowHunter says:

Rick : Thor never went back to kill somebody’s parents in a fight. Stop with your theories. You know why I always come back with Mageddon? Because you always try to avoid it. Thor can’t beat that and you know it. Go away kid.

  18. ShadowHunter says:

Rick : I am waiting for the scan as well.

  19. Rick says:

There he goes again, ignoring my posts, and bringing up Magedodon. The only Superman feat ever. That feat isn’t even nearly as impressive as knocking over a celestial. Then again, you don’t even know what a Celestial is. Oh, why didn’t thor ever go back in time to kill someone’s parents? He’s A GOOD GUY, you fucking mentally handicapped piece of trash. ITS NOT A THEORY. My God, do you know enough English to even know what “theory” means? Thor has traveled back in time. FACT. Here’s ShadowHunter’s dad:

    http://www.funpeak.com/funnypics/homeless-superman.jpg

  20. Rick says:

Funny, ShadowHunter still hasn’t shown a scan with date of Superman speed blitzing. I guess Superman can’t do it against Thor. Superman’s superspeed is a “THEORY” LOLOLOLOLOL

Oh by the way, I am actually starting to think Hulk could even beat Superman.

  21. Rick says:

Seeing the Captain’s scans, I am going to email Zeromage about also agreeing that Captain Marvel should be ahead of Superman as well. It looks like he has trashed Superman in their last few fights. Haha.

  22. President Steve says:

I am starting to wonder who is more childish between Rick and ShadowHunter. You guys are both proving to be fanboys.

  23. bob says:

I’ve gotta say, I agree more with Rick. At least he makes arguments, rather than saying Mageddon over and over. Honestly, if that’s the best he has, Hulk easily takes Superman.

  24. Emerald Magus says:

I’ll settle this once and for all.

    OUT OF THESE THREE ONLY:

    1. Thor
    2. Superman
    3. Hulk

All time, Green Lantern is still number one though. And Silver Surfer is #2.

Let’s think about it, GL can simply make Kryptonite and take out Superman…that’s not a theory, btw. he has DONE IT!!!! Superman himself said GL had more power than all the JLA combined. That’s right out of Superman’s own mouth.

  25. Emerald Magus says:

And how is Superman a good fighter when his little cousin, who is a girl, beat the snot out of him? huh?

  26. Rick says:

Haha…Even Wonder Woman is “equal” to Superman:

    http://img79.imageshack.us/img79/4150/jla96196qa.jpg

  27. Emerald Magus says:

Further proof of Hal Jordan over Superman:
    http://img141.exs.cx/img141/2104/005greenlanternrebirth003rembr.jpg

Seriously, how many times does GL have to beat Superman for people to acknowledge he is more powerful. Even Superman said it!

  28. Rick says:

Batman has Superman trapped “like a dog”:

    http://img145.imageshack.us/img145/6594/untitled28yz.jpg

  29. Alberto says:

    @Darryl

I try use a balance approach then come with whom I think would be number one.

    You claim that Superman is:

1.-Stronger- (Very debatable Thor feat strength have been very powerful. Really there no true way saying Superman feat would make him head and shoulders above Thor.)Like when you talk about about Superman moving planets the more & more I study this feat it appears more psionic in nature due to the laws of physics no amount of strength can explains these kinds of feats.

    Answer: This is not debatable
Thor biggest strength feat: STOPPING THE WORLD ENGINE
According to scale Yggdrassil weights close to 2.2 sextillion tons
Superman’s NOT biggest strength feat: POWERING MAGEDDON
According to scale Mageddon is about the size of Jupiter OR 317 EARTHS
    Verdict: NOT EVEN CLOSE

2ND EXAMPLE (NOT THE BEST SHOWINGS FOR BOTH)
    MIDGRAD SERPENT
According to scale the Midgrad Serpent as seen in the feat of fishing the serpent
The serpent could weigh around 3,979,692,972 LBS or close to four billion pounds, also a serpent of that size could create a force pressure of at least 12,194,916 per square ft.
    Superman 1/3 of the moon
Superman help to move the moon and He was carrying at least 1/3 of it 1/3 of the moon is equal Moon weights 44,512,170,603,714,000,000 that means Superman was pulling AT LEAST 14,837,390,201,238,000,000 THAT IS 14 QUINTILLION TONS
I used THOR’S BIGGEST STRENGTH FEAT VS SUPERMAN’S NOT BIGGEST STRENGTH FEAT.

    Answer me
Is the 317 earths equal or close to 2.2 sextillion tons?
And I am not even counting that Mageddon will generate its own gravity, which here Superman powering that thing is not even in earth’s gravity, but on Mageddon’s gravity

2.-His body is more Resistant (debatable) I believe superman has slight advantage when comes to physical resistant but Thor large advantage when come to magic, So I go with Thor in this one.
    Answer: This is not debatable
Yes Thor has the advantage vs Magic. which we will cover later on. Here is NON MAGICAL RESISTANCE
    Thor’s biggest resistance feat
Thor survives getting blasted by the Celestials
    Superman’ biggest resistance feat
Superman survives inside Rao surrounded by Kryptonite and while getting depowered He survives a light speed fall into Mogo, and getting blasted by none other than Superboy Prime
or Superman survives UNHARMED a blast that completely incinerated DC’S PERFECT ORGANISM, DOOMSDAY.
    Answer me:
    Is this equal?

3.-He is Smarter(debatable) Superman has the advantage but not as great as might think. Superman has the knowledge of Krypton science and photographic memory but Thor knowledge in Asgardian magic & has shown abilities Learn medical science when he was Dr. Don Blake was consider very good Doctor.
    Answer: This is not debatable
Seriously? Blake is a MD check it He is a freaking MD!!!, yes he has the knowledge on magic, but so does Zatana and that does not make her smart
Superman has Kryptonian tech mastery and eidetic Memory, He built the wish machine that won the day in Final Crisis, just by looking at it for less than a minute!!! He builds Robots!!!
    Answer:
    Is this equal intelligence?

4.-He is Faster(debatable) as mention before it has been state Thor can in battle move at the speed of light in comic, Loki has state this before and Thor has fought such as since Surfer/Galatus/Other world demon that can move that those speed and speeds. At best an even
    FASTER AS IN RAW SPEED
Thor has fly at three times FTL
    Superman? 133 MILLION times FTL
Ok I will be lenient and accept that THOR COULD move faster, because He threw Mjolnir to the end of the galaxy and Mjolnir returned in one minute
Superman went from Earth to OA (The center of the universe) to Krypton in a few panels. That is more than going to the end of the galaxy and back in less than a minute, Because He went from our Galaxy to ANOTHER Galaxy and then He came back
    Answer me:
Is this RAW SPEED EVENS CLOSE?

5-Has some degree of magical defense at high levels not as god as Thor’s (disagree)I totally disagree with you on this. Superman do not really have any magic defense one of his major weakness I do understand that he has able to overcome powerful magic user but more thru other abilities.
Do you know that he has resisted magical transmutation from half demons on their own realm?
Do you know he has survived a mystical Thunder from none other than POSEIDON himself?
Do you know that while possessed He survived Mystical Thunder From the wizard Shazam?
Do you know he has survived a mystical blast that evens K.O. Wonder Woman and Zauriel (both mystical and with high tolerance vs magic). He did not even got K.O. and He was the one who saved the day?
Do you know He fought three Elder gods with a mystical arrow in the back and a mystical sword in his hearth? The mystical sword was trying to suck his soul!!!
    Answer me
Does it look to you he has no magical defense?

6.-He has better combat speed- (debatable) most likely even. You argument four & six are tie together you can see my state to number four it would apply to this one too.
No raw speed is not equal to combat speed
Bruce Lee is a faster fighter than Usain Bolt
Usain Bolt RUNS faster, but Bruce Lee is a faster fighter
Thor is not even close on this one
Thor hits one punch at a time, Superman punches at least five times that. Want scans?
    Answer me:
    Is this close or equal?

7.-He can generate as much energy-(Thor wins this easily (not debatable)there are many example of Thor creating energy at will, and this god blast shown more powerful then your one time example superman creating energy in black hole situation.
Apparently you have never seen Superman cauterizing a cosmic rip with his heat vision which is equal to tearing the fabric of reality AKA God Blast used to defeat Surtur and Ymir!!!
    Answer me:
What is more impressive Tearing the fabric of reality of Cauterizing Reality?

8.-He has better flight maneurability (this debatable) this goes back to movement thing in question four & 6. Thor has fought likes Surtur & Silver Silver did alot of flight maneurablility came in to play.
    Are you serious?
Thor can levitates without his hammer, he flies because He gets dragged by its Hammer. He is getting pulled!!!
Superman’s Flight ability does not depend of external forces
    Answer me:
    How is this even debatable?

9.-He hits harder (Do not agree) at best even but understand because you believe Superman is strong is why you are saying this.
    Nope
Thor hardest hit came when He was using the asgardian armor He sent shockwaves that destroyed a mountain range
Superman’s hardest punches SHOCKWAVES shattered reality
Thor was even getting amped by the armor
    Answer me:
    How is this even close
What is more shattering REALITY with shockwaves or WHILE AMPED leveling a mountain with shockwaves?

10.-He can use all his powers at the same time (debatable)advantage Thor because does more often then superman. Thor can be controlling whether fly plus hit enemy with energy blast all at same time.
Superman cans do it and he does it really often, He flies punches someone at super speed with superstrength, right there is three powers at the same time. The difference here is that Superman can use ALL of his powers at the same time, while using also Torquasm VO
This is the only one that is debatable but I have actually not seen Thor pulling those three powers at the same time
It is debatable because Superman says He can use all his powers at the same time. He SAYS IT but I have not seen it. The most I HAVE SEEN SUPERMAN multitasking powers is using three to five powers at the same time.
I agree this could be debatable, but do you have a scan of Thor multitasking powers? I will like to see it

I’m expecting 9 answers, Hopefully this time someone will answer :D

I’ll wait for answers from Intelligent people who knows about comics.

So… Rick, Magus and Bobby are excluded :D

  30. President Steve says:

Alberto, when you’re quoting someone, it would help a lot if you put the quoted text in italics or something like that…

  31. President Steve says:

So Alberto, you say Superman dominates Thor in EVERY department? You are really stretching with generating energy. It really makes you seem fanboyish.

  32. President Steve says:

Thermo-Blast capable of decimating an entire Planet (Ego). See Thor#133.

SPATIAL POWERS: A) Ability to materialized anywhere across the known Marvel Universe (Fantastic Four-#339, Thor-#165). B) Ability to create Dimensional portals or Rifts (Thor Annual#16, Avengers#309). Also, able to send an entire population to LIMBO for their own protection (Thor#192). C) In addition, Thor’s hammer has the capability to send just about ANY SENTIENT BEING to just about any other LOCATION in the known Universe-Avengers-#180 vs. the Monolith, or DIMENSIONS (the Fourth, the Fifth, the Sixth, or even the Seventh Dimension- it doesn’t matter) See- Avengers-#9, and Avengers-#16(vol.1), or even an ALTERNATIVE UNIVERSE-Avengers-#7 (vol.1). Specifically, Thor doesn’t necessarily need to create a vortex to remove any immediate threat- See-Thor-# 279 vs. Ulik, Thor-#173, and Thor-#425 where a blast by Thor’s hammer ripped wide the fabric of the Universe itself and sent Surtur and Yimir to the Death Dimension. Thus, Thor can literally send anything, or anyone to the other side of the Galaxy thousands of light years away with just a mere magic bolt fired at his enemy. One of the GREATEST EXAMPLE of Thor’s Spatial capability occurred in Thor-#242, when Horus, Osiris, and Isis Giant Pyramid destroyed a significant portion of the Orange Groves (Trees) of San Diego, California when it sprouted from beneath the Earth in their search of Odin. All of then were all fully restored along with the vanishing of the great Pyramid by a vortex created by Thor’s MAGICAL hammer-as if the destruction that took place there never happened. Now, that’s power!!!! Another great example of Thor’s Spatial capability occurred when the hammer passed right through Kang’s Force Field and struck him as if the Force-Field was not present at all-See Avengers-Annual-#21. Kang was near death by the blow from Thor’s hammer. Therefore, characters like Magneto, Graviton, or even the Molecule Man are not, in fact, EXACTLY safe inside their Force-Field. In addition, Thor can call his hammer from even deep space; distance doesn’t seem to be an obstacle- Avengers-#19.

POWER TO ABSORB: A) Thor’s hammer can absorb limitless amount of energy. For instance, Thor’s hammer absorbed the energy of a Null Bomb that was capable of destroying an entire Galaxy and turn it to Cosmic energy and Re-Ignite a Dead Sun (a Galaxy may contain 200 billion to 400 billions Solar Systems-depending on their relative size). B) In Avengers-#171, from a DISTANCE, Thor absorbed Ultron’s entire energy source with just a single blast from his hammer. C) Thor’s hammer can, also, absorb other significant sources of energy including: Cosmic (Silver Surfer-#4), also, when Thor completely absorbed Sky-Walker’s Cosmic raging Tempest into his hammer-Thor-#305. Also, Radioactive energy (Avengers-#304), Magnetism (Thor#-387) where Thor absorbed a portion of the Planet of Pangoria’s Magnetic energy, and Magneto’s Personal Magnetic Field-JIM-#109; and Mystical- specifically, when he absorbed a significant mystical portion of EVERY Earth’s PANTHEON (Thor#301), and Pluto’s Deadly (mystical) Fire-Flame-#Thor-#223. In addition, Thor can absorb Magic from a DISTANCE-Avengers-#276. D) It’s important to, also, point out that Thor’s hammer can absorbed many of these particular sources of energy, and RETURN IT back to the originator; sometimes amplify many times over.

REVERSE ENERGY: A) Thor’s hammer can reverse energy polarities (Avengers#70 vs. Hyperion- when Thor reverse the Atomic process that gave Hyperion his powers, and reduced him to the size of an Ant. B) Thor Annual#16 (Beta Ray Bill vs. Ego) In this instance, BRB was in the verge of drawing out all of Ego’s Magnetic Polarities to outer space, and Ego happens to be an entire Planet. C) Thor reversed the Enchanter’s Magic that initially transformed humans to Monsters-Thor-#18. In addition, Thor’s hammer can reverse a Psychic attack- see Thor #428.

  33. President Steve says:

ANTI-MATTER PARTICLES: Thor’s hammer can manufacture Anti-Matter particles. These particles can erase anyone, or anything from existence. -See Avengers-#8 (vol.1).

  34. President Steve says:

SOLAR FLARES: Thor’s hammer can produce Solar Flares; which is about twice the temperature of the Sun.
COSMIC ENERGY: Thor’s hammer can produce Cosmic Energy (Avengers#5).

  35. President Steve says:

ANTI-GRAVITY: (SOMETIMES, MISTAKENLY CALLED ANTI-FORCE): A power that literally Physically incapacitates his opponent. Thor did this to the Super-Skrull when he sent him from Earth to his space ship in Earth’s orbit. The Super-Skrull said, “I AM HELPLESS-caught in the grip of a FORCE I cannot begin to comprehend!” This power is similar to that of Graviton. Another such example occurred when Beta Ray Bill-Thor- #440- repelled the Giant Uroc upward against gravity to the surprise of both Dargo and Thundestrike.

  36. President Steve says:

INTELLIGENCE: Thor knows all of Earth’s languages- Thor-#290.

  37. President Steve says:

Thor simply holds back against his opponent because he doesn’t want to take a life- see Thor#305 (or destroy a planet in one blow). However, when he decides to end someone’s existence he could do it with just a single blow-See Thor’s-#374, where he killed the Super-Strong Mutant Block-Buster with just a blow from Mjolnir.

  38. President Steve says:

To really analyze the full strength of Thor’s hammer- in Thor#388, Thor shook the planet Pangoria (which is larger than the Earth, and reduced nearby mountain ranges to rubble without even hitting the surface of the planet (the Celestial Exitar took the hit – MILES into the atmosphere – it was “simply” the shockwave from the hit that caused such planetary devastation – now… can you imagine Thor NOT holding back during battle…

What this means is: that you can drop dozens Hydrogen Bombs in one single place, or point, and that still wouldn’t shake a whole planet – nor reduce mountain ranges that dwarf the Andes to rubble… and it wasn’t even the impact of the hammer that did all this, just the shockwave created by that impact.

  39. President Steve says:

Thor’s hammer can destroy an entire World- Fantastic Four-#339.

  40. President Steve says:

In fact, the full power of the hammer can radiate with the energy of a THOUSAND SUNS – enough to even destroy an Entity such as Surtur. Thor stated AFFIRMATIVELY that this incomprehensible energy gathered by his hammer would have, indeed, destroyed Surtur, the eldest (well, how do you define the age of an Elemental older than Time?), and probably the most powerful Elemental in the Marvel Universe. Only the Twighlight Sword saved Surtur from destruction-Thor-#351.

  41. President Steve says:

Thor’s immortal life force can be VERY powerful even without his hammer; that when combined with the power of his hammer can release incredible amounts of energy- Thor#388. Galactus tasted defeat when Thor used the Life Force on him- see Thor#161.

Thor’s Life-Force, or God-Force, also destroyed the Brain Dome of the 20,000ft. Tall Celestial Exitar; which is MANY MANY MANY times more durable than Adamantiun.

  42. President Steve says:

If some fans were highly impressed by DC’s Captain Marvel effective lightning attack on Superman, what in the world would they think about a lightning bolt such as that one created by Thor against the Mangog? Not even ashes would remain of Superman if Thor would strike at him directly with such a bolt of pure energy, and, to be perfectly honest, Thor doesn’t really need that much firepower to blast, for instance, anything including a Ship to Atoms-See-Avengers-#82 (vol.1).

And Yes Alberto…He can multi-task….Thor can effectively direct multiple lightning strikes as he once did against several Celestials at the same time-Thor-#300.

  43. President Steve says:

As you can see Thor can pretty much do anything the writer wants him to do.

  44. President Steve says:

Thor lifted the Midgard Serpent which girds the entire Earth and holds the Ocean in place-Thor-#272.

Now, lets do a little math here. An average Anaconda is 20 FEET long by 1 foot in diameter and 330lbs.
Jormungund (the Midgard Serpent) is 25,000 MILES long by 20 feet in diameter. (6.6 MILLION times longer, 400 times wider… or 2.64 BILLION times larger… see where this is going yet?)
Let’s skip the fact that Jormungund is near indestructible, and like Thor, much more dense than normal Earth life (otherwise things go from really ridiculous to… I dont know what I would call it)…
The serpent would weigh (roughly) 435 MILLION TONS… then if you really want, you can factor in his body/flesh/bones is at least 3 times as dense as a normal snake’s (Asgardian’s are 3x as dense) – and of course, the serpent’s body is possibly even denser considering he is invulnerable and the environ he lives in…

  45. President Steve says:

Now I don’t care if Thor isn’t as physically strong as superman…the fact is, people who are MUCH MUCH weaker than Thor have put a serious hurt on Superman by punching him.

  46. President Steve says:

Now, let’s look at some facts. I’ve established beyond question Thor can teleport anything anywhere in the universe. Thor can teleport Superman to Kyrpton’s remains, and fight superman ontop a giant pile of kryptonite orbiting a red sun. unlikely he would do this, but it is possible.
