The Mighty Thor and Superman are the heavy-hitters of Marvel and DC respectively, each of them arguably the most powerful hero in their respective universes. So its natural that this is without question the most discussed versus debate amongst comic book fans. No other versus battle comes close to being talked about as much than this one. Try to start a “Superman vs Thor” thread on any forum and the first response is sure to be: “Not this again”.
Some of you may remember our “Top 10 Most Powerful Superheroes” list that we released a while back, where we made the controversial claim that Thor was the most powerful superhero of all time (Superman coming in at number three on that list). Months later we are still receiving emails either agreeing with us, or flaming us for that decision. Many fans cite Superman’s speed as the deciding factor in any fight between the two behemoths. Other emails claim that Thor’s magical powers would be enough to stop the man of steel in his tracks. So, the natural question is, do we still stand by our claim that Thor is more powerful than Superman? The answer is still “yes.” In this article we’ll break down the seven most common arguments and give you our take on them.
1. Super Strength
The claim has often been made that Superman is stronger than Thor. Many times on versus forums threads this claim is accepted as a given by both sides of the debate. We don’t concede that the Man of Steel is physically stronger than the god of thunder though. Thor has performed feats such as lifting the World Serpent, and once hurled the Odinsword, an enormous mystical blade, through a Celestial! Thor has also single-handedly matched the strength of the Hulk on numerous occasions (the Marvel Universe’s strongest character). Not only that but Thor is capable of entering into a state known as the “Warrior’s Madness”, which will temporarily increase his strength tenfold. Some of these feats have no true equivalent in the DC universe. We think at the very least, the two character’s physical strength is equal.
2 . Super Speed
This is Superman’s one true advantage in this fight. Superman is fast. We’re talking warp speed fast. We’re talking once around the entire planet and back before you can blink fast. You could easily make the argument that Thor would be lucky if he even saw Superman before he got pounded. But is Thor as slow as everyone seems to think? Unknown to many DC fanboys Thor can throw his hammer at the speed of light (See Thor#140, Thor#274). He can also swing it at TWICE the speed of light (Journey Into Mystery#102). In Thor -#393- it’s established that the speed of Thor’s hammer TRANSCENDS both TIME & SPACE. In addition Thor can appear anywhere across the Universe or other dimensions in just seconds (see- FF#339, and Thor#166). And, most importantly, Thor could, visually, detect objects that move at fantastic speeds (this happened when Thor was the target of artillery fire- see Invaders#33- and Avengers-#281- when he saw the speedy Hermes. And yes, I do need a life). Now if we accept that Superman can move at 99% of the speed of light, and that Thor can swing his hammer at twice the speed of light, it stands to reason that big blue is in some trouble. It’s true that Thor doesn’t use his super speed abilities often, but how many times have you seen Superman not use his super speed when he should have?
3. Stanima
Who can take more punishment, Thor or Superman? This is a difficult question. Thor has withstood a blast from Asgardian Destroyer. Superman has withstood a direct hit from a nuclear bomb. Thor has taken everything the Hulk could dish out. Thor also once took a glancing hit by a Doomsday Bomb that was capable of destroying an entire planet, and soon after that explosion he fell from space (leaving a crater miles wide) to a planet called Pangoria-see Thor#387. Thor has also taken everything that Gladiator (an arguably more powerful version of Superman) could dish out. Both characters have come back from the dead a couple of times. In my mind this one is a draw. Both characters have approximately the same stanima. The difference is Superman has weaknesses (i.e. Kryptonite, Magic, and the fact he is powerless without yellow sunlight) whereas Thor pretty much doesn’t.
4. Magic
Even the most diehard Superman fan would concede that Thor’s magical abilities would be an advantage for Thor. First, I would like to note that just because an opponent can wield magic, it in no way guarantees a win over the last son of Krypton. Superman has defeated countless magic users in the past, and so I have no illusions that just because Thor has magic powers and a magic hammer that he would automatically own Superman. That being said magic is just as lethal against Supes as kryptonite. Superman has no defense against it, and it can affect him greatly. Superman getting pounded by Mjolnir is the same as you and me getting pounded by a normal hammer. And consider the guy who’s swinging it. It’s Thor. The god of thunder. Not only that, but Thor’s lightning is magical too. Remember that just a single lightning bolt is equivalent to 15,000,000 volts of electricity and could travel over 224,000 miles an hour. The clear advantage here goes to Thor.
5. Super Powers
Before Thor inherited the Odinforce, the super powers of these two heroes were a little more even. Now there is absolutely no contest. Thor has a clear edge over Superman here. His magical hammer gives Thor the ability to control the weather, the ability to fly; energy projection and absorption; dimensional apertures; matter manipulation, as well as the most powerful of his offensive powers: the God Blast, and the Anti-Force. Superman is no push over in this department either, with the already mentioned super strength, super speed, as well as heat vision, x-ray vision, enhanced senses, and the ability to blow hurricane force winds from his mouth. But what is that compared to being able to summon an actual hurricane? Not only that but with the Odinforce Thor was then capable of feats such as reconstructing the Earth’s Moon, willing the Asgardian monster Mangog into nothingness, and by focusing his entire power into a hammer throw that even decapitated a Desak-occupied Asgardian Destroyer. Having accepted his heritage as the son of the earth goddess Gaea, he has recently been shown to be capable of opening chasms in the earth itself, and who knows what other abilities he’ll be displaying now that he’s done that.
6. Superman beat Thor in the Avengers / DC Crossover
I don’t want to spend much time on this one. Most fans of comics know how much weight we should give to crossovers. Besides, I personally have no doubt that Superman would beat Galactus in a crossover. He’s DC’s flagship character after all. Enough said on that one.
7. Thor has Thousands of Years of Combat Experience
This is a common argument used by Thor fans to claim that Thor would take down Superman. It seems fairly obvious. If I somehow gained super powers and a Viking Warrior somehow gained the exact same or nearly equivalent powers, most people would put their money on the Viking if we fought each other. Now imagine the Viking warrior was thousands of years older than me, and had been using his powers for all those thousands of years to battle trolls, giants, demons, robots, aliens, and gods, and I have only been using my powers for 20-30 years. It seems clear to me that the Viking Warrior god has a clear cut advantage over me in a fight. Again advantage Thor.
It seems obvious to me that Thor has a clear advantage over Superman in a fight. I don’t think that Thor is so powerful that there is no way that Superman could ever defeat him. But I believe that the majority of the time Thor would beat Superman in a one on one fight, assuming its not a fight to the death. If it is a fight to the death, then I think Thor would almost invariably win. So there you have it, the definitive answer to one of the most talked about and controversial debates in comic book nerdom. Brought to you by your pals at Old-Wizard.com.
Superman…is corny…
I thought the babyboomers and lil kids only liked superman?…
O well…I rule!
@ joe try hitting ur self with a hammer ^_^ peace out ^_~
If superman fight with their true power, Thor would turn into flour (ask Darkside), of course, none would beat Goku in SS4
Joe my boy, it’s clear that you know nothing.
And just because you have not seen Thor do any of those feats don’t meen he never did it, it only meens that you never picked up the book.
JUST my two cents.
but both universes ( marvel, dc)
are completely diff from each other it’s like comparing apples and oranges, windows 7 and mac os.
both are fruits but still completely diff, both are operating systems but still vastly diff,
if your a dc fan of course youd go for supes, if your a marvel fan youd go for thor.
i read wizard mag and i do believe they had a survey of comic fans ” whose who in the power department ” and thor came out on top. i both read dc and marvel books but marvel is my fav of the two and i go for thor in the power department, i respect all opinions and like folks who read comics.
my favorite thor feat was ” the ending of ragnarok”
an amazing feat where ragnarok’s cycle of death of the gods was ended by thor where odin could not. there in we find out that another higher entity group the ” those who sit above” existed and begged thor to not stop ragnarok.
attesting to thor’s amazing power supremacy.
I PREFER Thor ” GOD of thunder” to superMAN.
GOD BEATS MAN IN MY BOOK. ( JUST MY TWO CENTS)
Toxic : Superman is the direct descendant of Rao, the Sun God on Krypton. Anyway, being a Demi-God didn’t stop Superman from beating 4 Magical Elder Gods at the same time.
Superman did many incredible feats. Let me name you some.
Superman moved the incredibly big Mageddon who was as big as Jupiter (40 times the Earth).
Superman survived and escaped inside a DOUBLE black hole.
Superman survived inside RAO (A red sun) that was surrounded by Kryptonite. He was fighting against Superboy Prime, who managed to beat the incredibly powerful Sodam Yat Ion. Once on Oan, Superman receaved a blast of HV from SBP and he survived.
Superman moved a growing Solar System, brought it in space and threw it.
Superman lifted a black hole and then brought it in space.
Superman repaired a hole in the cosmos with his Heat Vision.
Superman destroyed a Sun Eater with his Heat Vision and then heated the Earth faster then the Sun can do.
Superman wasn’t knocked out by a magical blast that took out Zauriel and Wonder Woman + The entire JLA. Wonder Woman is a magical being and Zauriel is an angel of heaven. He then went after the villain who attacked them and he beat him.
Superman survived when he was hit by an Imperiex Prime blast (It was not a probe. It was the Imperiex Prime). That blast KILLED Doomsday. There was nothing left of Doomsday when he was hit.
Superman lifted a book with infinite pages.
Superman was able to scare 4 Elemantals just by saying that he could destroy the entire planet.
And there is many more.
It’s not because your a DC fan that you will go on the Superman side. That means nothing. I really like Thor and I know he’s very powerful but with everything I’ve seen from both, I know Superman would win. Oh, I forgot that feat. The Universal Death told Superman that he was an annomaly and that he couldn’t die. She then attacked him and Superman beat her. The only advantage of Thor in that fight his his magic. The only problem is that Superman isn’t as weak as before against magical attacks.
And I’m starting to think that Superman could beat Odin Force Thor. Not because I’m a fan of Superman, which I’m not. I prefer Batman and Wonder Woman. I just read alot about Superman and Thor and with everything I’ve seen on the respect thread of both Thor and Superman, I’m in doubt.
Just so you know. The Wizard magazine are BIG FANS of Thor.
SH: Actually Jupiter is 1400 times the size of Earth, not 40
Jupiter is 2.5 times the mass of all the other planets in our Solar System combined — this is so massive that its barycenter with the Sun lies above the Sun’s surface (1.068 solar radii from the Sun’s center). Although this planet dwarfs the Earth (with a diameter 11 times as great) it is considerably less dense. Jupiter’s volume is equal to 1,321 Earths, yet is only 318 times as massive.
Shit, I was wrong everywhere lol! I wrote that on Youtube too.
Alberto: Thats what I meant, and I rounded up(a lot), I thought it was more like 1332. Besides the 1400 sounds good correcting a 40
always awesome seeing your replies shadow..
would it be possible to just shoot supes with a gun laced with kryptonite bullets…saw that in the batman/superman movie almost killed by metallo ( he’s lucky bats were there to save hes krypto butt)
see there’s this thing with supes the two weakness issue do we have anything on thor’s side?? when it comes to weaknesses??? there might be im not too surei havent seen one yet ( wait can we call arrogance in thor a weakness?)
ok let me explain,
we are talking about who would win between CURRENT SUPERMAN AND CURRENT THOR if fought each other i say thor wins hands down why?? thor has toooo many power sets in hes , lets break it down.
thor.
spatial power A) Ability to materialized anywhere across the known Marvel Universe (Fantastic Four-#339, Thor-#165)
avengers #9 thor can send any being to any dimension.
THOR #425 Thor ripped the fabric of the universe opening the death dimension and sending surtur and ymir there.
Journey to mystery #115 thor can transmute the elements transmuting the absorming man.
Thor 421 where in thor created a barrier shield that contained a LIFE-BOMB that was capable of destroying a fifth of the known universe. saving billions.
silver surfer #4 thor absorbed SS cosmic energy.
Thor#387 Thor defeated magneto empowered by earth’s magnetic core when thor absorbed the full magnetic impact.
THOR #301 when thor absorbed all the mystical energy of every PANTHEON of the earth.
Thor #288 THOR REDIRECTED the magnetic energies of the celestial mothership back at it.
my personal fav, in thor #388 thor defeated GALACTUS with he’s life -force.
Thor #161 thor blast’s and destroys the head dome of the celestial exitar with hes life force.
FF #369 thor can appear anywhere in the universe in seconds.
Thor 241 thor withstood an energy blast from odin.
thor 300 thor withstood a blast from a group of celestials.
thor 288 thor went toe to toe with the celestial leader “the one above all” with out no adverse effect in thor when he was swatted aside.
thor went inside the sun’s core to speak to ATUM the ‘sun god’
thor 372 thor’s hammer can induce u to sleep( snore away superman )
in avengers #8 volume 1 thor showed that he can re arrange matter-anti matter particles meaning he can erase someone from existence.
thor 395 thor showed that he’s energy was coming from the limitless matrix source or the main energy source of the asgardian race.
thor can create radioactive energy ( if u think about it he can create a wave of kryptonite energy and kill sups)
thor won againts mephisto beating mephisto’s essence of evil energy with thor’s essence of light in thor #325
in thor annual #8 thor battled Zeus himself for months.
in thor 185 it clearly mentions that thor’s speed was 3 times the speed of light.
in thor #156 thor destroyed an entire mountain.
fantastic four #339 thor’s hammer is so powerfull it can destroy worlds.
in thor #351 surtur the most powerfull elemental being in the entire marvel universe older than time itself stated that thor’s final blast had the energy of a thousand sun’s and was capable of destroying him and only the twilight sword saved him from destruction.
i could go on but this is getting ridiculous this is why thor wins over superman thor just has way too many different power sets to beat supes, what does supes have?? super breath, super speed,flight,x-ray vision, super hearing, super stregth, anything else?
@Toxic_scavenger
OK. Just let me explain you this.
This article is Modern Superman VS Full Odin Force Thor. Which is not really fair for Superman.
NOW. Current Thor (with little OF left) vs Modern Superman is a different story. AND is debatable onto who might win.
The fact that you just know Superman is Strong, fast, and has Super senses it pretty much sumarizes HOW MUCH YOU KNOW ABOUT Superman.
Here take a look at this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0xKX0oUROE
And get back to me
Alberto : I finaly added the Torqasms abilities on the Superman DC Database.
Toxic : You know, being so stubborn is a desease. You know nothing about Supes and you just showed that to everyone on this website. Thor won’t know about the Kryptonite and Supes isn’t as weak as before when he’s near some. Now, I’ll be back later to put you back on the track. I have to go to the University. During this time, go on the Superman respect thread on http://www.killermovies.com .
Or even better on the Superman DC Database.
ok let’s hold on to the sarcasm’s and the insults im not here to disrespect anyone’s opinions i do like intellectual debates.. it seems that u folks missed the questions i asked i did say ” anything else?” u don’t have to be so affected with what i stated id love it if u guys can quote the actual comic in where sups shows he’s power sets… im going thru my specific superman strenghts and weaknesses and with thor as well.
again i repeat my self superman was shot by metallo with a gun laced with a kryptonite bullet almost died with that shot, saved by the bats……..
a severe weakness that i cannot compare to thor the closest i can go is thor’s arrogance.
superman is no weakling i admit he is dc comic’s mightest earth hero…..
this is like me debating to my brother that he’s mac book pro can’t win againt’s my sony vaio signature x series ( offended emotions abound lol) chill chill it’s a beautifull day today specially that i found this website like i stated yesterday i do like people who read comic books…
alberto stated i should watch a youtube link and i shall im stuck in traffic at this time, and i will find out soon enough if my beliefs towards a ( sups vs thor smackdown ) needs some achanging….
IF captain marvel can lay the smackdown on superman under morrison’s run in JLA why can’t thor?
captain marvel’s power’s are magic derived hence sup’s losing, if this patern cna be allowed under morrison it can’t be under a thor vs sups showdown?
it can go either way but to completely disregard this as a mighty possibility is plain ridiculous.
the thread might be the wrong one to peruse at but i found you guys here who are very knowledgeable about dc comics and the like so i still set this questions either way.. no matter if it’s superman silver age, no age, old age, current non current, superman has a weakness to magic and kryptonite no if’s or buts about it… that’s why Morrison’s run on JLA abut marvel winning againt’s sups made sense…
unless u guys tell me right now that dc has completely retconned supermans weakness then i’ll change my tone, is he now no longer magic weak and kryptonite weak???
so this questions abound superman has two major weaknesses, thor has none, one of those weaknesses thor can fully take advantage of. thor still wins.
saw the you tube link…. impressive but does not change this facts about magic.
by the way In Kingdom Come, Captain Marvel nearly kills Superman.
captain Marvel and Black Adam’s punches are written with a magically charged effect, and while Superman isn’t as vulnerable post crisis to magic as he used to be pre crisis, he’s ironically affected by this post crisis effect, even if only slightly. (We have a word from Captain Marvel in Crisis Times Five on Supermans vulnerability, when he knocked out Supes with a cheap shot, and we also have examples in Loebs Superman/Batman.
so this is now to guys in the dc universe who can win over superman captain marvel and black adam.
Toxic : Captain Marvel and Black Adam are far from equaling those 4 Elders Gods in term of magic.
@Toxic
OK, I posted like 2 months ago MOST feats of MODERN SUPERMAN vs magic.
It appears MODERN SUPERMAN is only vulnerable to certain magic frequencies.
He has displayed high resistence vs High magic beings, like The Wizard Shazam, Satanus, the guy from primeval, etc.
He seems however to be vulnerable to FOLKLORE magic, like Vampires, Werewolfs and monsters from folklore stories.
This is the way it has been portrayed in recent years.
You mention the cheap shot of CM vs Superman in Crisis times 5, yet you seem to forget that Superman’s body has been able to resist lighting bolts from The wizard Shazam, lighting bolts from POSEIDON, Magical Blast from Mordu, and Transmutation in Blaze’s realm.
Superman is not as vulnerable to magic, kryptonite or red sun radiation as you might think He is. In fact the vulnerabilities in Modern Superman are nothing but plot devices to make the story more interesting for the reader.
Is not like He is not weak against them, is just that is not as effective as you might think it is.
Plus lets say that Lex Luthor defeats Superman with Kryptonite, does that make Lex Luthor more powerful than Superman?
Luthor is only exploiting a “weakness” not actually defeating him fair and square.
Now, consider this
Many people assume that Thor can create Kryptonite to defeat Superman.
First of all Thor does not know about Superman weakness.
Second, even if He knew and created Kryptonite, syntetic Kryptonite does not weaken Superman, it only makes him dizzy.
Draining Superman’s energy only creates stress on him which will cause Superman to store more yellow sin energy or start collecting even more energy from stars. This is FACT and it has been showed in recent years.
The only real advantage of Thor vs Superma is his magical nature. But this Magical advantage gets compensated by Superman’s speed, strength and durability. Thor has problems facing the Hulk physically. Superman who is much stronger than the Hulk at base strength will pretty much compensate for the disadvantage in magic. Yes I know Thor holds back while facing the Hulk, but He holds back because He does not use his other powers. He actually uses all of his physical strength when He is facing the Hulk.
We have been debating this for months. Many believe Superman could win, many believe Thor could win.
I personally respect Thor and I can see the magical advantage He will have over Superman, but I believe his magical adtage is nullified by Superman sheer speed and strength.
I have evidence to back all this things up.
If you want the all the fats of Superman vs Magic in modern times just let me know.
just watched those youtube flicks about ol supes and thor…. read the newer superman editions…. perused the web for debates/arguments…. wrote down my thor feats/superman feats……
and my PERSONAL opinion is this is a dead split. a total draw…. dc’s elite vs marvel’s elite is a complete draw. with thor’s versatility and superman’s utter speed it’s a draw if they meet.
i respect your views folks ty for the replies…..
one more thing my sister who is an avid lantern fan ( she’s 14 ) asked me what i was doing so i told her i was checking up superman she replies ” lantern can beat clark, all lantern will do is will sorround clark with un measurable kryptonite light constructs and sups dead in the water. i had to smile she’s right boy dc got them power houses all over the place..
but i still think flash is the sickest dc character.
alberto u did mention about lex defeating sups with kryptonite does that make him more powerfull than sups?? of course not but then again it does make him more smarter than sups….utilizing superman’s weakness to win is a strategy that wins the fight by hook or by crook.. so the debate about the diff between the two is still clearly stated superman has a weakness that could lead to superman’s defeat. thor has no weaknesses that could be taken advantaged off. i do believe that with thor’s general ” create any type of radiation energy skill” he could create kryptonite radiation. but if we take the kryptonite out for a second and just focus on thor and superman ( no more kryptonite weakness).
i still find this as a dead split.
in thor annual 19 it was stated that thor can release unlimited lightning arcs of purest magical light so pure that when he conducted a barrage of this againt’s the celestials he had to go and escape the area of effect or he will forfeit he’s life.
superman is fast utter fast ( second only to flash)
but i try to imagine can he duck unlimited lightning arcs of purest magical lightning??? if he can dodge them then thor needs to hold him down ( just like how captain marvel did) but then this would end up both of them dead.. DRAW at the very end.
see this two guys are the powerhouses of both universes that only ends up in death for both that’s how powerful they are.
Draw.
P4P KINGS IN COMIC FANBOYISM…. ( I ADMIT I AM A FANBOY OF BOTH PLATFORMS)
@Toxic
You see that is more likelly.
I also believe Flash is insane
And the GL thing. Well I think it pretty much depends on the will of the GL.
Superman has a highere will than most Gl’s and MAYBE even more than Hal.
There is also a showing of that when Superman actully calls out Kyle and tells him if he has enough will power to achieve this.
But yes Thor vs Superman is too close to call
Sickest DC Character? Batman all the way!
Batman is AMAZING
Whenever you want someone pulling crazy shit See Batman
Alberto : I read his wiki and they said he’s peak human in term of speed but he might be faster. To dodge bullets at close range, you need to be very fast.
batman has dodged a lightning strike from captain marvel… amazing feat…. the only downside is that there is only one bruce wayne when he gets too old for this he’s done for.
unless we clone him or blast him in space and shower him with cosmic rays!!!!
here’s a question between batman and captain america who wins???
I am biased I admit it, I have a strong dislike of dc comics.Their characters are so corny they turn my stomach especially supes! Now how is supes stronger than the hulk?!?!? Clearly he is not lol. The hulk is thee ONLY 1 who is physically stronger than thor. Thor just has to many weapons to use against superman….THOR WINS! And dc plz change supes super gay costume…smh
How easy would it be for thor to teleport superman to a place where there isn’t a yellow sun? Would supes have any powers left? Thor would have any problems cause his powers go with him where ever he goes lol. At this point it would be a pretty easy victory for thor. Superman has to many weaknesses to face thor and he just plain sucks
On supes speed… he can move at .09 the speed of light however thor can track objects moving at 3 times the speed of light and he can throw his hammer at the speed of light and can swing it at twice the speed of light so supes speed advantage is null and void! Thor is around 3000 years old, think of all the battle experiance he has, thor takes this fight hands down
@Odinson
check this out
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0xKX0oUROE
Then comeback and share your knowledge with the OLD WIZARD READERS
I wonder if Odinson1 watched the video already and that is why He is not claiming anymore that Thor wins over Superman hands down.
Probably. The moment he stated he has a strong dislike for DC comics is the moment he lost credibility in this debate.
Its obvious hes never read any, or at least very little.
@toxic
Batman vs Cap?
I believe this is a stalemate or a 50/50 battle.
But based on feats PROBABLY Batman has the edge.
I don’t know I like both characters the same, but Batman seems capable of doing anything.
@albeto lol yes I watched the video and all I have to say is laaaaaaaaame!! Supes is a lot stronger than thor??!?! GTFOH! Thor has out muscled hulk at full rage!! I’m sorry but supes isn’t as strong as thor so dream on superman fans lol and his speed advantage is waaaay over blown! Thor swings that hammer twice as fast as superman moves! And THOR does’nt have the lame weakness’s the superman has! HANDS DOWN THOR IS STRONGER!!!!!!!!! When superman changes out of that pajama like costume maybe I’ll take that comic seriously lol until then THOR RULES!
Superman groupies claim that he moves so fast that thor can’t even see him lol that’s how delusional they are lol….yet the silver surfer is just as fast or faster than super man and thor was able to put that hammer upside his head with no problem! Thor is better in every way so sorry superman groupies IM RIGHT YOUR WRONG!
Odinson1: Do you even realize how pathetic your argument is sounding? You have nothing rational to reply with.
Thor has outmuscled Hulk at full rage!
When the hell has thus happened? Oh wait NEVER. Hulk is stronger than Thor, and has overpowered him on several occasions, not to mention he has beaten him 5-1. Also Hulk has never really been at “full rage” seeing as its supposed to be limitless.
What does this mean anyway? Nothing. It doesnt even apply to this debate.
Superman has pushed Mageddon, a warhead/anti sun the size of Jupiter! He has slowed eternity, lifted a book with all of existence in it. What the hell has Thor done? Lifted Yggdrasil?
Thor is no where near as strong as Superman and there has never been anything in comics that has shown as such.
His speed advantage is overblown? Superman flew across the universe in panels, he is much faster than Thor, in raw speed and combat speed.
Superman’s “weaknesses” dont usually accomplish much, as a matter of fact if you add them in he has a HIGHER endurance than Thor.
Thor has been to the center of the Sun. Guess what Superman did? He flew through the center of a RED SUN(a weakness) Surrounded by KRYPTONITE(A weakness) then was blasted with Superboy primes heat vision, and fell to Earth!
Possibly the greatest feat of endurance Thor has had is getting blasted by a Celestial, but its not anywhere near what Superman has done.
When superman changes out of that pajama like costume maybe I’ll take that comic seriously lol until then THOR RULES!
Honestly you know nothing about comics, and its sad youre even trying to debate this.
Odin : Just so you know, your a fanboy. Just look at your Name, retard..
We haven’t named us Superman. I’ve never seen Thor moving something as heavy as 2 planets. Superman moved something as heavy as Jupiter, lifted a book with infinite pages, slowed Eternity, etc.
Now, fanboy, about Superman’s speed. Supes can blitz at high speed. Thor can throw his hammer, yes but what does that change? Mjolnir wouldn’t even hurt Superman. Since you think his speed is ”over blown”, will you tell me why you think this way? Thor can’t phase throught solid objects. Superman can, by using his speed. Going to Vega under 10 min is another proof of that incredible speed. Thor has never accomplished something like that. Thor might be able to teleport but that’s not speed. Teleporting won’t be useful in a fight if Thor can’t see Superman coming or even hit him. The way you insult Superman, we easily see that your just one of these kids, jealous of Superman. I guess you always dreamt to be Clark Kent. Sorry kid but that won’t happen. It’s the DC Universe. Oh, just so you know, his outfit is very useful. It has to be this tight so his ”shield” can protect his clothes. That means that he won’t have to change them every fights, even after being in the middle of 1 million Nuclear missile explosion.
Go take some sleep and think twice next time before writting your crap here. You are just a big joke who never read one comic in his entire life.
Thors hammer wouldn’t hurt superman huh?? And you say I’m pathetic, plz go choke on a chicken bone. And furyof5 let me correct you!!! In altime marvel battles thor is 4-2 against hulk! Lmao fury you seem to think that getting blasted by a celestial is no big deal huh? What has superman done to compare with that??? And plz stop with the superman is to fast GARBAGE! I have already debunked that crap in my earlier post.@shadowhunter that’s right I insult superman because I want to vomit at how lame he is lol, and ur his fan so imagine how lame you are lol I see no way that supes can win this fight, he can’t out slug thor, supermans speed is null and void thor can track him and strike him, not only does thor have strength but he also has magic on his side (another superman weakness) there is no way superman can win! THOR RULES THE GAY LOOKING ALIEN
THOR =GOD OF THUNDER WARRIOR PRINCE OF ASGUARD superman= ultralame guy in pj’s
The power of thor http://m.youtube.com/watch?gl=CA&warned=True&client=mv-google&hl=en&v=dW-XDA_rhPw
Superman vs THOR http://m.youtube.com/watch?gl=CA&warned=True&client=mv-google&hl=en&v=l6EixUZ5bJw
Odinson:
And furyof5 let me correct you!!! In altime marvel battles thor is 4-2 against hulk!
According to you maybe, but then again I doubt youve ever read any of those comics.
We already examined every fight between the two on here, impartially and it was found Hulk has won 5-1.
Lmao fury you seem to think that getting blasted by a celestial is no big deal huh? What has superman done to compare with that???
I just told you an excellent example. Theres others as well. Superman has survived inside of a double black hole, has survived the force of hundreds of supernovas, and many others which are better than Thors feats.
And plz stop with the superman is to fast GARBAGE! I have already debunked that crap in my earlier post.
You didnt debunk anything, you didnt even give a clear example or show a scan. Superman has flown across the universe in panels, Thor is nowhere near that fast.
THOR =GOD OF THUNDER WARRIOR PRINCE OF ASGUARD superman= ultralame guy in pj’s
You really are ignorant…
Great now I have to wait for it to be modded because I quoted him using 3 question marks…
Is your knowledge of Thor really that pathetic you have to resort to using youtube videos to get information about him? God. I have a better idea.
Go to Borders/Waldenbooks/a Comic Shop and drop a few bucks on a Thor comic. Or maybe look up a Thor Respect thread.
No maybe you shouldnt, because knowing you youll say “Whoa Thor beat up Iron Man, Superman doesnt stand a chance”…
I think this Odin guy is not a serious debater, but a troll. So I won’t waste my time on him. You guys can stay with him all the time you want. But debating with trolls and hatters is pointless. This guy is both.
But at least He keep us entertained
Yea, I assumed as much too. Im more or less trying to pass the time until we are given a new list, presumably a Top 10 Most Powerful Villains list.
Also I enjoy trying to teach others and point them in the right direction.
POUNDED!
