The Leviathan is pretty much the only cool monster to come out of the Bible, not only that, but its skin can stop Dark Water, and it also makes a pretty cool Magic card too. At 10/10 this was the biggest monster of its time, and with trample it was almost unstoppable once you got it into play. Of course at a casting cost of 3 blue and 5 colourless that was always the trick. By the time you were able to cast this big blue baddie you were probably already dead. That never stopped us from putting it into a deck though. Sometimes its better to make a deck with cool monsters in it than one that always wins. Like any game, in Magic: The Gathering there are fun games to play and not so fun games to play. Like the merfolk deck. After 2 or 3 games nobody wants to play the deck anymore. It works. Its a legal deck. Its just not fun. That’s why you pals at Old-Wizard came up with some rules variants for deck construction so that you could make a deck to play against your friends that has epic monsters like Leviathan in it.
